What Causes Recurring Pain In The Shoulder And Numbness On The Fore Finger?

I am having pain in my shoulder. The pain comes and goes. When I put my arm down straight it hurts a lot. Raising up the arm helps. Sometimes the thumb and forefinger feel slightly numb. The pain feels as though it is in the upper muscle of the arm near the shoulder. It is not consistent and sometimes shoots up to a 10.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

It could be arthritis or a nerve problem. The range of motion and nerve conduction should be tested to rule out the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
