What Causes Recurring Pinching And Cramping Pain In Lower Abdomen?

Hello thank your for your expertise in advance. I am experiencing: ovarian cyst again (April first time), June 2nd time. The pain is on lower left again, feels like a pinching or cramping. My obgyn told me in April just to let it ride out. It worries me that perhaps I could end up with twisting my ovary or the tube. I don t know if anything can be done.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an ovarian cyst. It is necessary to do an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation to see the size and the position of the cyst. Meanwhile, I suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen 500 mg for pain relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
