my eight month old daughter keeps getting a hive like rash on upper arms arms and inside thighs with it spreading to neck and ears last pm. it comes as goes away in a relatively short period of time and seems to show up most at dinner time. It only seems to affect skin that is exposed as trunk is unaffected
Dear Friend Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
It seems that your daughter is suffering from a condition called as urticaria. it is an allergic condition of skin due to any recent infection, environmental factor, seasonal change, food, drugs.
In such cases, i usually advise my patients antihistaminics like chlorpheniramine, promethazine. In case, history of current or recent infection, antibiotics are also advised.
Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion, I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion. If you wish to discuss the problem further , you may please ask. Stay Healthy.
