My son has patches of a indented light rose colored blemishes that started appearing about 19 months ago. He is 13 and the blemishes don t hurt. Itch or bit her him whatsoever. They are only on one side of his body. (The left) it started on his inner calf and has worked it s way up to his shoulder. The first dermatologist said it is common and would disappear on it s own. The second stated it could be genetic and took a precautionary biopsy. Any thoughts.
Hi. As per your case history your son may be having nevi which is usually on one side and genetic. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't worry as it won't hurt or itching. 2. You need to go for skin biopsy for confirmation of the diagnosis. 3. Don't apply any cream or do any other home remedies. 4. If it is nevus then laser therapy can be done after 18 years of age.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
