What Causes Red Dots On The Glans Of The Penis After Oral Sex?
Hi Doctor, Actually I noticed yesterday tiny red dots on my penis head. I did feel a itching sensation while peeing few days back but it disappeared. I received oral sex 14-15 days back. Also, I have been on a running and exercise regime for over a week now. I tried to google this issue and came up with the possibilites of fungal/bacterial infection. Please suggest what cold be the problem and remedies. Also, can I use four-derm cream on penis head to cure in case it is an infection?
You may be having genital herpes infection. Genital herpes is an STI that can cause red spots on your penis, as well as your:
1. Sscrotum
2. Pubic area at the base of the penis
3. Thighs
4. Buttocks
5. Mouth (if it’s passed through oral sex)
Genital herpes results from the herpes simplex virus (HSV-2 or, less frequently, HSV-1). This virus enters your body during unprotected sex with someone who carries the virus. See your doctor if you think you have genital herpes.
It isn’t curable, but your doctor may prescribe antiviral medications, such as Valacyclovir (Valtrex) or Acyclovir (Zovirax), to ease your symptoms and prevent it from spreading to your sexual partners.
