Hello I am a sixteen year old female and lately I have noticed red freckles appearing all over my skin especially on my legs and stomach, it seems they increase when I am exposed to sunlight as I am a lifeguard in the summer time and have been around sun a lot recently. My mother has many of these red freckles and says they re heretitary however I have never heard of someone as young as me developing these red age spot freckles. I apply lots of sunscreen but nothing is working and they keep growing in number. I hate the way they look and I was wondering if you might happen to have any insight as to what these are and how I can prevent/get rid of them? Thank you!
Yes you are right this skin ailment is called freckles...This is an inherited condition and it is quite possible that it appear at an early age in successive generations...First and foremost you should have sunprotection as the condition aggravates on sun exposure....If possible try to change your work and adopt a job where your skin is protected from sun....along with a good sunscreen use physical barriers in the form of full sleeves and covered clothes, shades and hat while you step out in sun...you may also use hydroquinone 2-4% cream in the night over these lesion with toothpick at night...i hope this would help you.
