What Causes Red Spots On Arms In Older People And Ways To Get Rid Of These Spots?
I am 61 years old and a diabetic. I get large red spots only on my arms--irregular in shape and absolutely flat. There's no pain and they usually take a couple of weeks to disappear. I see others where I live who have these "spots" and it seems to be an old-age thing. What causes them and can I prevent them?
They seem to be ecchymosis. These are seen due to fragile capillaries in old age. Avoid rubbing arms and trauma to the affected areas. Take tablet vitamin C 500 mg twice daily for 2 months.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
