What Causes Redness Of Palatoglossal Arch And Difficulty In Swallowing?

My left Palatoglossal Arch is red and when I swallow I almost feel like I have a sore throat. I took a Q tip swab and touched both the right and left and the left one bothered me, Drinking and eating seems to sooth my throat,

What is this ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain redness in Pala toglossal arch can be due to bacterial or viral throat infection leading to inflammation which presents as tenderness and redness..
It can also be due to post nasal drip..
Nothing to worry, do warm saline gargles and take a short course of antibiotics like Azithromycin 500 mg once a day and anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day..
In case of post nasal drip saline nasal drops and steam inhalations can help..
