I take amlodipine besylate 2.5 mg (1 tab in a.m. after meal) and benazepril 10 mg (1 tab in p.m.) Lately my BP has been running very low--112/74, 97/66, 112/78, 106/75, 105/63, 105/61, 111/79. I am seeing a kidney specialist who tells me that if my STANDING BP is greater than 130 in a.m., to first start 2.5 mg amlodipine, and if greater than 130 STANDING in p.m. to take 1/2 tablet benazepril, 1/2 tablet. The fluctuation continues and my pulse rate which is normally around 68-70 is up at times to 86, 81. I m confused. How serious is low BP and when should I seek emergency help. My doctor s office is closed on Friday.
