Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Regular Tremors In Left Chest, shortness Of Breath And Slow Pulse?
I am female, aged 62. I get regular, very annoying shiverings/vibrations in my left chest. It feels as if my whole heart rattles. When happening I feel short of breath and awkward. I am healthy, but lately feel very tired with little exertion. I have a very slow pulse at times (between 42 and 60) and I am not fit. I am active, but do not do any exercise. I am not highly-strung or tense and not prone to any panic attacks.
Your symptoms of shortness of breath on mild exertion, feeling of tremors on chest and slow pulse may be seen in the following conditions: 1) Sinus bradycardia due to various drugs like of digitalis glycosides, beta-blockers, and calcium channel-blocking agents. 2) Hypothermia 3) Hypoglycemia 4) Sleep apnea 5) Arrhythmias or rhythm disturbances of heart 6) Heart failure 7) Coronary artery disease
You need to undergo a thorough clinical examination and investigations like ECG, 2D echocardiography and stress test. Please do consult a cardiologist for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
