What Causes Right Abdominal Pain Along With Nausea And Diarrhea?

I have right lower quadrant abdominal pain. It started a few days ago and I chalked it up to a muscular problem and it slowly went away. It s back just as bad and it s definitely not from any activity I ve done. It hurts to move, but no pain when not moving. Nausea a few times since first episode and very loose stools. I m at a loss.

Hi

Your symptoms might be due colitis or gastroenteritis which simply refers to the infection of the digestive tract. You mad need some antibiotics such as fluoroquinolones for 3 to 5 days.

Probiotics can also be taken thrice a day since they can reduce the growth of harmful bacteria in the gut thereby reducing diarrhoea.

Other causes of pain abdomen such as appendicitis, diverticultis or bowel obstruction should be ruled out by an abdominal ultrasound.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
