What Causes Right Sided Abdominal Pain?

Hi my name is Edith, I had a sharp pain in my right side of my abdomen last night, the pain was so big I can not sleep all night. I am reading the symptoms of appendix. the pain doesn t repeated, nor fever or nausea occured, just sensible, and I do not know how to do cooking and baking today. I am aware that I may need to go to the Emergency if the pain getting worst, currently, I am not sure this is related to appendix, or not.
