Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing pain on my right side of my abdomen. It feels like I have a bruise. For the past couple days when the area is touched it feels like a burning feeling. Now it just feels like a bruise that is getting worse. It hurts while sitting, laying down, standing up. It is really uncomfortable.
Would you please clarify a few things for me? - how old are you? Any previous surgeries? -any other symptoms? Like fever, vomiting, diarrhea, giddiness -where on the right side? Just under you ribs or near your groin? -any other medical illness? Or any medications?
I recommend : - a physician consult - an ultrasound abdomen -blood tests (complete blood count, liver and kidney function tests)
Based on the reports and clinical findings we could Initiate a treatment plan. Meanwhile, stay well hydrated, eat bland and light meals. If the pain gets worse, please visit the ER right away.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
