What Causes Right Sided Pain In Neck Along With Difficulty?

I started having pain in my right side of the neck yesterday. Difficult to swallow food and drink. I recently was had a bite on my hand from a dog bite. Wound has not healed well and I am seeing a wound specialist. It happened on July 2. I have been on augmentin 875 mg for a couple of weeks. One doctor changed last Friday to clindamycin 300mg but when I saw the wound doctor this Monday, he changed back to augmentin. Tonight I started itching on my back and head with some hives. The only other thing was that they started having me put on silverdenecream to wound. Are these related in any way. Not sure. What do you think.

You have history of dog bite for which you were given augmentine and topical silver cream for wound dressing ...

You itching and hives could be from allergic reaction by augmentine ...
If needed levocetrizine like drug for relieve itching can be given....

As far as difficult swallowing concerned your pharynx should be examined ...
Enlarge tonsil or pharyngeal wall swelling can lead such presentation. .
According to cause it is treated ....

You should take anti rabies vaccine if source of dog bite can't traced. ...

Advise ; consult surgeon and get your examination done
