What Causes Rise In BP Level And Weight Gain While Suffering From COPD?

I am 72 years old, the past year my weight has 140 to 150 lbs and my B/P from 118/70 to 159/79. I have COPD, I am on Symicart, and I was started on meds for low adrenal gland functioning for the past 1 1/2 months. I have pointed it out to my PCP for the last 3 years, I finally got my pulmonary doctor to prescribe a low dose of Norvasc 2.5mg po x 1/day, there has not been any change.
