What Causes Rise In The Platelets Count While Having Sinusitis?
Dear Doctors.I am having high platelets count from the last three times blood test. In the month of July, I was suffered from sinusitis. Is that the cause of high platelets counts. Even in the month of September; my platelets count is very high. My very upset. Please let me know; what can b the reason of this rise. Kind regards Parminder kaur sahota

The platelet count increased is called Thrombocytosis If any underlying cause is there like any infection called secondary thrombocytosis. If there is no cause it is called primary thrombocythemia.
