What Causes Round Patches On Calf And Feet Along With Severe Pain?

I have had a lot of leg pain mainly in my calf that moves around and sometimes up in my hip .... hurts a lot at night and sometimes in the day. My Dr. thinks it s my cholesterol medicine and wants to take me off of it for a month and see. The last couple of days my feet have been hurting when I wake up ... in the arch area and on the inside of feet. Today I discovered two weird circles that were just dark on the outside, one of the back of my calf that was hurting and another on the inside of foot that was hurting. Concerned it s ringworm, but have been reading it could be other things, also. ????

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have round patches on calf and feet along with severe pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like atopic dermatitis , discoid eczema , varicose eczema or contact dermatitis . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to reduce redness and inflammation , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl , keep the area clean and dry and do no apply any cosmetic product . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory along with corticosteroid ointment .
