What Causes Runny Nose And Discharge Through The Ears?
Hi there my 3 n half year daugther had her adenoids removed in jan2014. she had middle ear fluid for a long time and would happen on and off. she had runny nose most of the time and greenish mucus. she had growmets put in as well. we doing homeopathy to boost her immunity but that does not seem to be working., does septilin help with this? she does not eat junk food much mostly home cooked food and any suggestions on this would be much appreciated. thanks reena Kumar.
its due to allergic rhinitis. The mechanical blockade was removed by removal of adenoids. The problem of allergy needs to be controlled by taking regular anti-allergic medicines. Consult your paediatrician regarding this. I will advise you some treatment: 1. instill saline nasal drops (Nasomist) 3-4 drops each nostril twice daily 2. Use Mometzone (Nasonex) nasal spray, 1puff each notril twice daily . Its FDA approved and safe, can be prescribed for 2 years and over. 3. you can try septilin syrup to boost immunity Hope the above clarifies your query. Thanks and regards, Dr Nandu Kolwadkar
