What Causes Runny Nose, Blood-tinged Sputum And Nose Pain While Having Nasal Polyp?
i have nasal polyp and my doctor proscribed medication to see if it will go away and after taking the medication i feel like my nose is leaking and when i spit it has a reddish spot in my saliva and i am having a pain in my nose is there a reason to this?
There is a possibility that you have got an allergic reaction to the medication given to you in the form of spray to shrink the polyp that might have caused inflammation of nasal lining and the sinuses leading to runny nose or Rhinitis.. Inflammation can also lead to pain in nose.. I would suggest you to take anti allergics like Allegra or Benadryl.. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.. Do cool compresses over the nose.. Stop taking the medication and consult your treating physician and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and advise you a different substitute medication to relieve the runny nose..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
