question: accident 2007 caused c5/6 asymmetrical bulge left posterolateral 3mm minimally abuts vental surface of cord also impingement on left c6 nerve root accident 2010 caused c4/5 1mm central bulge with impingement on subarachnoid space cord normal neural formina normal c5/6 2-3 mm annular bulge central and left neural foraminal narrowing impingement on subarachnoid space touching cord at this level. minimal increased signal intensity of cord is suggestive of myelitis. c6/7 6mm broad base disc rupture central and foraminal bilaterally, more toward the left side disc touching cord at this level mild increased signal intensity of the cord suggestive of myelitis. question is... if the first accident didnt occur, would the rupture and severe compression of the spinal cord have occured. Would I have the severe incomplete tetraplegia overall weakness and chronic central neuropathy now. the first accident was more severe than the second. I can upload reports and images as needed thank you
I am saddened by your fate. However in medicine these “what if” questions are hard to answer. But of course, if an already traumatized body experiences a second trauma it might theoretically in more severe consequences. Never give up the fight. The healing powers of the human body are amazing.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
