What Causes Scabies On Body, Fungal Infection And Oral Thrush Post Unprotected Sex?
hiv hello doctor. I have diabetes type 1 and last month i had unprotected vaginal sex with a sex worker then after 2 weeks i got scabies on my body now i am having fungal unfections and oral thrush a sore throat and a swollen lymph node under my right jaw does it mean i am hiv positive?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM We can not say if you have HIV.You will have to do an HIV test now.If negative, you do another one after 3 months.Given the fact that you had a risky sexual exposure, the risk of contracting HIV if you partner was infected is high.Scabies and some fungal skin infection are contagious. You may have it from contact with infected individuals. However, these symptoms can not be considered as opportunistic infections yet.It is still too early to say they are HIV related.Just take the test to know your status and have you scabies and fungal infection treated. You may see a Dermatologist for evaluation and treatment.Scabies will respond well on ascabiol or acaribial and fungal infection will repond well on topical antifungal agents like micozal if not too extensive. Just see the Doctor for evaluation and prescription. Hope this will help Wish you good health
