I noticed what I thought to be tissue paper stuck to my left areola. I pulled it and realised it was skin. Then I noticed a lot of scaling. It seemed to suddently appear. The colour was different to the other one, more pinkish than pale brown and the actual nipple is larger. The skin has completely peeled off now but the colour and size are still different. MY GP said rather than think sinister now we will say it's nipple ezcema. I have never suffered with ezcema before, it wasnt sore or cracked, just a faint stabbing pain like a needle. My nan died of breast cancer and after reading about nipple eczema on the internet I didnt like what I read at all. I am 40. Should I just wait to see if it scales up again? I read the symptoms for Paget's can come and go if it is early. Is that correct?
