What Causes Scaly Skin Around The Hair Lining And Scalp?
I had a annual checkup with my doctor and was concerned with scaly skin around my hair lining and scalp. She said it could be Seborrheic Dematitis Hypopigmentation. Is this something that can be corrected? I was told by a friend who's HIV positive that its something that he's dealing with. I was scared for a minute but I tested negative a month ago. Ive been dealing with this issure for a year now, what can I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain scaly scalp seems to be due to Seborrheic Dermatitis and there is not all necessary that it can be due to HIV.. It can be due to fungal infection, poor hygiene, stress, genetics etc.. It can be very well treated and you need not to worry about it.. Consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and he can advise you microscopic examinations of scraping from scalp for confirmation.. He can advise you to wash your scalp with shampoo containing coaltar, ketoconazole, Salicylic acid, zinc, selenium etc.. Massage your scalp with steroid lotion.. Keep scalp dry and clean..
Hope this information helps..
