A few years ago I had shingles on the top of my head only. Broke out in blisters, hurt really bad, itched when I finally got to see a doctor I was told it was shingles but by that time all was gone except a few scabs. I continue to have places appear on my scalp and have been to a dermatologist twice and had 15 removed both times using cryosurgery but they keep reappearing. The dermatologist says I have seborric keratosis. I find that is weird that if that is the case I developed when I had the bout with shingles on my scalp. Do you concur with her diagnosis??
As per your case history, you are having Seborrheic keratosis. My treatment advice is:
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it to prevent infection. 3. Only curative treatment is cauterization or laser ablation done by a dermato-surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
