What Causes Several Hours Of Blurred Vision, Restlessness And Light Headed?
My 37 year old son had a episode for several hours of having blurred vision, restlessness and light headed. He went to emergency and they took all kinds of test and said all was fine but they were checking his blood for any thyroid problems. Now, a week ago he just passed out for about 30+ seconds. They found him on the floor and when he wokr up he was just fine. This kid has never drank, smoked or any drugs...ever. What could be going on?
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
If I were your doctor, I would get your son examined physically by a cardiologist, who may put him on a 24 hr cardiac holter monitoring, and also go for a carotid doppler to rule out any thrombo embolism phenomena over there. If all are norma, I would investigate him on line of a migraine attack and co ordinate with a neurologist who may go for an EEG or a CT scan/MRI to rule out any other pathological process going on there. Further management would depend on the reports of the investigations,
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your son's problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
