Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Abdominal Bloating And Pain With Flatulence?
I am having severe flatculence and abdominal bloating. It has caused pain on both side of my abdominals. I am also experiencing times where I will have a regurgitation of food particles from foods eaten minutes or hours later. I have already had my gall bladder removed in Jan 2014. I am 38. In excellent physical health and work out regularly. Also I eat a very healthy diet as well. Trying to figure out what is going on. This has been going on 2 weeks now. Been on 500million probiotic supplement and that has taken away the pain around both side of abdomen but all other issues remain.
Flatulence and abdominal bloating can occur due to indigestion. Regurgitation of food eaten few hours before can be due to reverse peristalsis. Absence of gall bladder can lead to indigestion and bloating especially after having fatty foods. I suggest you to consult your gastroenterologist for clinical assessment and thus management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
