We are headed to the Urgent Care. Thank you for your time. Hi Doctor, This is the mother, Sarah. Pt is 5 year old female, Fiona. No chronic diagnoses or conditions, Thank God. She and her 3 year old brother were diagnosed with strep 9 days ago. Almost finished with 10 day course of antibiotics. Brother was seen in urgent care on 2/17/16 because I was concerned about sand-paper like rash. Dr explained that it was part of strep, no further Rx or treatment needed. This morning at 0600, Fiona complained of a stomach ache when she flexed forward. No other symptoms. I assumed in was the result of too much junk food at a party yesterday. I had her drink a big glass of water, gave her some Children s Tylenol and sent her to school. When I picked her up at 1500, Fiona stated that her stomach hurt too badly for her to eat anything today. She had a fever of 102.4 , congested nose/throat, but no runny nose. She has flat red dots on the backs of her hands and her cheeks and jaw. There are fewer dots on her wrists. Spots might be appearing on back/belly; hard to tell. Normally a firecracker, Energizer Bunny, talks a blue streak. This afternoon, she stumbled into the house, pulled a blanket over her, and was asleep within a minute. States that lying on her side with her knees pulled up helps stomach ache a little.
