What Causes Severe Acid Reflux When Diagnosed With Splenic Hamartoma?
I am a 66 year old woman diagnosed with two hamartomas on the spleen that are benign by radiologists. I also have horrific acid reflux and spit all day long, thick white sputum. For the last two weeks I have been spitting up blood in the mucous and I don t know if it is irritation from the acid reflux or what. I have not smoked since 1998.

Hi,
Your symptoms seem to be related to acid reflux. I suggest using antacids such as Maloox three tablets a day. I also recommend using PPI medication such as Omeprazole daily in the morning before breakfast.
