What Causes Severe Bloating And Pain In Stomach Post Colonoscopy?

I have severe bloating and pain in my stomach after I eat or drink anything. I wake in the morning and have a flat stomach then the rest of the day there s bloating and pain, the bloating is extremely noticeable it makes my stomach look distended and does not fit the rest of my body. I had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago and all was good.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe bloating and pain in stomach post colonoscopy . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are due to colonoscopy as its complication . They are considered if it happen in few hours after colonoscopy . But in your case symptoms has been there far one week . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , omeprazole and antacid . For now drink warm water thrice a daya , take light walk and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
