Hello,
* As per my surgical experience, the pain lower midline chest radiating over back in between shoulder blades may be part of
- GERD with ulcer disorders
-
pancreas inflammation or calcification (as
pancreatitis or chronic
pancreatic duct stones )
-
gall bladder problems as stone or else
- biliary tree disorders as
cholangitis, stricture with narrowing or else
- liver disorders
- others
However, a detailed history of type of pain, associated features of vomiting, fever and others are very vital to co relate on clinical grounds for some sort of narrowing of possibilities of underlying cause.
In a summary after clinical examination , one may require following minimum evaluations to find out the underlying cause of agony
- complete hemogram
- liver function test
- pancreatic enzyme levels
- ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis
- CT scan or MRI abdomen ( as per the evaluation and clinician decision
- endoscopy
If any of the reports are available with you, kindly share them with me for further correspondence.
