What Causes Severe Chills, Headache And Appetite Loss?

My husband is 67 years old and did some strenuous work this weekend in high heat. Starting yesterday he got severe chills, headache and loss of appetite. The chills stopped during the night and started up again this morning. What could be wrong? He just fell back to sleep.

Hello ma'am!
What you're describing could be exertional fever or exercise induced fever. It typically occurs post strenous exercise/activity specially in a hot and humid weather.
- Plenty of fluids
-ORS - atleast 1 litre in every 2 hours
- T. Paracetamol 6 hourly whenever the temperature shoots up
-Tepid sponging

Hope I helped! Take care ! (:
