Hello,

Tuberculosis is a possibility as the baby is having weight loss. You can go for a Mantaux test and sputum study to confirm the diagnosis.

Once the diagnosis is confirmed, antitubercular drugs must be started. Nothing much to worry and most cases respond well to ATT(anti-tuberculosis treatment).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
