Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m having severe diarrhea at least 1-2 times per hour. It s green, kind of looks like tabaco and sometimes it s fomie. I ve had a low grade temp, can only eat 3-4 bites of food, am nauseated. I think I m hydrated enough. Any suggestions? My bottom is raw from going so much.
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM. I have read and understood your concern. That sounds like enteritis which could be of bacteria, parasitic or viral origin.I will suggest you see the Doctor for a stool exam/culture.In the meantime, i will advise you try the following: -Take oral rehydration salt to replenish ions and fluid losses in diarrhea -An anti-diarrheal like imodium -An anti-pyretic like paracetamol for fever The rest of the treatment will depend on test results. Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns. Wish you a speedy recovery
