What Causes Severe Discomfort During Sleep Leading To Sleeplessness?
I am 68 and in good health, a non smoker, retired. I suddenly have stopped being able to sleep at night. It is physical not mental. I toss and turn needing to keep moving and can t get comfortable. We have purchased a new mattress, new pillows, nothing helps. I am on no medications. JoAnn
2 things in your case are likely - 1) Various Vitamin deficiencies are reported to cause sleep disturbances. Especially Vit D Vit B complex. Try supplementing these in your diet and your sleep should improve 2) try to get some regular exercise like walking. About 20 to 30 min per day for at least 4 days in a week. Lets keep sleep medications away for now and should be used only as a last resort
