What Causes Severe Dizziness And Chest Pain After Suffering From Flu?

Hi I have had the flu last Wednesday came on very fast felt dizzy a couple of days before but on Wednesday ot fever, achy muscles, chest pain and felt shaky was like that for 48 hours and then started with a cough which is persisting but my gp pure on antibiotics to reduce risk of infection. I am incredibly dizzy all the time and feel so weak but I am not feeling any better. I am worried about how dizzy I feel whether I am sat, laid down or stood up and my legs feel like they will give way.

Understanding your concern. As per your query severe dizziness and chest pain after suffering from flu can occur due to many reasons like middle ear infection , Meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma or low blood iron or sugar level . You should not ignore this ,because it can also occur due to condition like angina so consult cardiologist it it without any delay , because sometimes the condition get complicated. You should consult with your ENT specialist and get evaluated. Doctor may order audiometry test and tuning fork test and treat it accordingly. Doctor may recommend you to start with antibiotics, steroids and labrynthine sedatives for 5 to 7 weeks. you should go for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. For now do mind relaxing exercises like meditation and take proper rest .
