What Causes Severe Dry Skin With Rashes On Face With History Of Shingles?

The skin on my face seem unusually dry with a rash not a weeping or raised rash but my face burns when I put lotion on it I have a history of Shingles on my face 40 yrs ago when I was 15 on just the left side of my face but this seems different and has been on going for about 2 mos. some days it is lighter than other. I take Claritin for allergies I have stop using any make up or lotion products on my face. I had been using coconut oil on my face for years at night but I have stopped because, I am stumped on what is going on, I am a healthy 56 yr old female, I only take Claritin or Benadryl for allergies, not on any other medications.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the allergic disorder then it need to be treated with antihistamine and best drug would be Tab Levocetirizine 10 mg three times in day for local application Diphenhydramine lotion can be applied, drink more water, avoid going in sun hope this information helps.
