General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your mother in law seem to be related to an ear infection.

I see through the query that she already start a cycle of antibiotics, so I suggest to continue the antibiotics.

I also suggest using painkillers such as Ibuprofen 400 mg to relieve the pain. I recommend using also antibiotic eardrops for local applications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
