What Causes Severe Earache And An Itchy Rash On The Neck?
Hello, I am wondering about some symptoms that my daughter has. she has had intermittent bilateral ear pain which has been worse in the right ear at times. she has not been sick and does not have a cold. She had a course of zithromax for an ear infection and we gave her decongestant and mucinex to help with any fluid build up she may have. She is very active and is in basketball season right now. She finished the antibiotic about a week ago but she still has intermittent ear pain. she got a itchy rash on her neck during basketball practice today that went away in about an hour or so and does not have it now. any thoughts? otherwise she feels fine. she does have quite a bit of ear wax in her ears when we looked with an otoscope.

You can give a course on the tablet amoxiclav or augmentin which works better for an ear infection and ciplox ear drops. If not better consult an ENT surgeon.
Itchy rash might be due to allergy. She might be having some allergic rashes. Allergy can develop due to several reasons- some foods like egg, fish, pollen grains, animal hair, nylon, terylene clothes. Just try to find out what you are allergic to & avoid it. Try home remedies. Apply coconut oil daily three times a day for one week. If not better consult a dermatologist. It can be fungal infection or eczema.
