General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it seems like infective diarrhea and with chronicity amoebic dysentery needs to be ruled out.

I suggest taking stool analysis and microscopy tests and using antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or Doxycycline along with ameobicidal meds like metronidazole. Probiotics may be used for speedy recovery.

For pain OTc analgesics like acetaminophen and antispasmodic like drotavarine can be helpful. Oral rehydration salts and water intake should be ensured to overcome lethargy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
