Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been on Edarbyclor for a couple of months. It has helped to regulate my BP, but I have no energy and can fall asleep anytime throughout the day. My energy level is very low. Most troubling to me is that my weight has been steadily climbing. I am wondering if the weight gain is related to the drug. In the last week, I have begun using 310 Nutrition Shakes for breakfast and lunch, and eating a normal dinner in an effort to control the weight gain. I have gained another 3 lbs. I weighed around 150 lbs. when I began the drug and weight is now up to 161.6.
The drug contain azilsarton and hydrochlorothiazide. Azilsarton cause 0.5% people fatigue and hydrochlorothiazide may cause fatigue in 1.5% population. So it is a side effects of the drug. If your weakness not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and write alternate medicine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
