Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is dealing with extreme fatigue. He has always had issues with being continually tired, but it has gotten worse. It takes a major effort for him to even plug in an electrical cord. When he has these bout and they are coming more frequently, they seem worse each time. He is even fatigued after napping. Then his skin feels exceedingly cool, and he has to use a light blanket to stay warm just watching TV (and it s summer weather). He also seems to lose his sense of hunger when this happens as well.
Extreme fatigue may be caused by many different problems. he needs evaluation for common diseases like anemia, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid and liver diseases, infections, electrolyte abnormalities, etc. he needs a physician consultation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vaddadi Suresh, Internal Medicine Specialist
