Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Many times during the latter part of the day, I get extremely lethargic. I try not eat a large lunch. For breakfast, I had some honey peanut butter (protein/carbs) and fruit juice. About 3:30, I ate some fruit with mango juice. Last nite, I fell asleep. I was so exhausted I could barely wake up. I felt drugged!!!!
this could happen with a hectic schedule and not getting enough sleep... every adult needs a minimum of 6-7 hours of sound sleep. try increasing your sleep hours. other than that it could be due to lack of attention to a healthy diet lately that might have caused your general exhaustion. check your hb for anemia, people who are anemic feel exhausted. if you get any additional symptoms or you start dosing off in the middle of work you might want to get assessed for sleep apnea. also depression or anxiety could also lead to increase fatigue and somnolence in some cases
