What Causes Severe Foot Pain Post Recovery From Multiple Fractures?

I had an accident 2 years ago, where I fell out of my car and ran over my foot. I had tibial plateau fractures, a plate and screws, and then last year a knee replacement. I went back to work recently and my foot hurts quite a bit. Could it be arthritis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description, I believe it is a traumatic osteoarthritis with reduced knee joint gap. you had a knee replacement so it can be caused by some inflammation too. Etoricoxib with vitamin D3 is advisable. Get done an x-ray.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
