What Causes Severe Hair Fall While Having Vitamin D Deficiency?

Hello, I am turning 39 years old soon. My hair is starting to thin in the front. If I hold my hair up I can see my scalp and it looks worse under the light. I have already been tested for lupus, thyroid and have had blood work done. All my results came back normal except it showed my vitamin D was very low. Should I go see my OBGYN next to see if it could be something else that is related to my hair getting thin right in the front? I noticed this last year around November and it seems to be getting worse to me.

Hello,

Loss of scalp hair can be an adverse effect of medicines that you are taking for lupus and thyroid issue. Vit D low levels are less likely causing this. To clear your doubts I suggest you consult your rheumatologist as he is well aware of your situation and past medical history.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
