What Causes Severe Hand And Leg Pain After Delivery?

My step-daughter had a baby 7 weeks ago (she s 36) and for the past 3 weeks has had pain that she can t lift the baby or brush her hair. She says, It is real bad some days, and tolerable other days. Some days it s one hand, other days it s both. Today, it s both hands, both feet and my left knee. Everything is super tight, like i would imagine arthritis to feel like. The first doctor told her to stop nursing and gave her pain pills. Then they did blood work to check her thyroid and it came back negative. Do you have any suggestions of what else she can be tested for?

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest her to go for a rheumatoid factor. If it comes negative then it’s just the weakness and I suggest you take multivitamins and healthy food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
