What Causes Severe Headache And Pain In The Eyeball?

I am a 28 year old female, and I have a headache in my left temple that makes my left eyeball sting. This has been happening on and off for three days now, and started when i woke up in the morning three days ago. The headache and eye stinging will last for about 1 to 3 minutes at a time. I want to squint my eye when the stinging starts, but my eyes dont seem to be sensitive to light. I also DO NOT have nausea of throwing up. What could this be?? I have never had a migraine before and I am not congested or stuffy.
