My daughter has been having very intense headaches and seemed to have gotten worse. She missed part of school on Friday and felt just strange in her words. Said she saw white spots in her vision, and loss of some movement in her hand and arm on her one side(left side). She also has had some stomache pain along with her headaches and felt dizzy and strange all around. Going to take her in to her pediatrician on Monday morning, but just was hoping for some advice or ideas on causes or anything to help her. I have read up on all the different types it could be and she does have relatives whom have migraines (father),so I understand the genetics side of it. Have studied all the different types and triggers of them, which she has just recently got her period this will be her second cycle. She also does say she wakes up often during night but seems to be able to go back to sleep. She does watch tv and is on her iPad ,so I wasn t sure if maybe it s that. She is not a complainer so much, but is sometimes a little over dramatic when it comes to pain or illness. She is a great student and is very work driven with straight A s and thrives to do her best in all her subjects. Trying to give you a little info about her daily lifestyles. I do make her drink plenty of water and she doesn t really drink soda daily. Eating could be better, with healthier choices. She loves veggies and fruits but is often grabbing something less healthy just for convenience. She is 12 yrs old and also is a twin. She has a twin brother, whom is not affected by headaches just normal once in a while occurrence . They were 1 month premature, with some complications after birth. Son was on ventilator and both were in NICU for 26 days. Good weight at birth, she was 6.1 and he was 5.13. Pregnancy overall was very normal with twins. No alcohol or drugs or smoking of any kind. Her brother has had difficulty in school and had an IEP from preschool to beginning of 5th grade. Now the are at the end almost of 6th grade. He has had speech delays and communication issues along with reading and writing. He also has severe Asthma and allergies and is on daily medication for treatment of both. She has also allergies and mild asthma issues and takes daily medication, which has been significantly lowered within the past year. He had also been diagnosed with ADHD and is on medication to control for maintaining focus and concentration during school hours. Please if any thoughts you might have will be gladly welcomed. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my concerns and questions for my daughter. Thank you again, Sincereley Molly Weber
