Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I m 24 and when I was a child about 8 or 9 I was in a car accident. I fractured my skull but my right temple. I was in Mississippi and was rushed to Jackson and was unconscious for awhile. So for the last 2 months I ve been getting sharp pains that s worst then a headache that start on that side and goes all the way down to my neck. At first I thought it was something that would eventually pass but now I m left thinking it s more serious because nothing stops it anymore I m always left trying to sleep away they pain and not cry because that s just going to add more pain. So I guess my question is should I go see a doctor or continue with the over the counter medicine.
Considering your past medical history of concussion and the fact that you have never such severe type of headaches, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical exam and performing a brain MRI.
