One month ago I had dengue fever, with an extremely high temperate, rash, body aches, join pain, inability to eat / drink. I have since recovered but have extreme joint / leg pain, basically going down from my knee to my toes. The pain is quiet intense, what could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The reason why you are experiencing joint pains despite recovering from dengue fever is due to immunologic reaction caused by viral infection called 'viral arthralgia'. Usually it lasts for about 4 to 6 weeks.
There is no specific treatment for this and it will gradually subside on its own. Only supportive treatment can be administered.
Kindly consume good quantities of fluids and take anti-inflammatory analgesic medications such as Ibuprofen or Diclofenac in combination with Paracetamol. Also you can apply analgesic gels on skin locally.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best and wish you speedy recovery.
