What Causes Severe Nausea In The Morning?

I am experiencing nausea (particularly in the early morning) and I am definitely not pregnant. This has been happening for several months. I tend to wake up at 4:00 AM feeling completely nauseated. I always try to eat a little something and then go back to sleep until 6:00 AM or 6:30 AM.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
I hope I have answered your query.Morning nausea is not just related to pregnancy but also may be sign of stomach or gallbladder issues So you need to do gastroscopy and gallbladder ultrasound for a start If thisis clear then homonal imbalance by be underlying cause and you need to measure these values. Try to avoid coffee and cigarretes in the morning and have mint tea or a spoon of olive oile when you wake up, this will help to relax your stomach before breakfast which should be easy as well. some more serious issues are not to be considered at this point.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
